"My Grand Challenges project is centered around making solar energy sustainable; not only technologically, but also economically and ethically. I’ve done a few different projects related to this goal, including some solar energy research with professor Heather Dillon, which carried over into my current senior capstone project. I chose to become a Grand Challenges Scholar because I wanted to dive deeper into solar energy and learn about it on more levels than just the engineering. Like the other GCSP subjects, solar energy is multifaceted and I wanted to better understand more of the outside topics related to it."
