Water and Glacial Flume Facilities

The EL Weigand Environmental Lab is a one-of-a-kind research and teaching space located on University of Portland's Franz Campus adjacent to the WIllamette River.  The facility boasts cutting edge facilities to study water and glaciers.

The space is fundamentally interdisciplinary - faculty and students from Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Science use the space.

The centerpiece is a state-of-the-art hydraulic flume used to study rivers and geology.
