Engineering's home on The Bluff, Shiley Hall is a Leed Platinum building and features machine and metal shops, laboratories, and a photovoltaic system for student research.
This 43,800 square foot space opened in 2024 and provides opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration with spaces and resources for ideation, prototyping, testing, digital design and technology, virtual and augmented reality, fabrication, machining, and industry partner projects.
This newly opened interdisciplinary research and teaching space is located on the Willamette river front and houses a state-of-the-art hydraulic flume.
