Mechanical Engineering: Facilities

The mechanical engineering facilities are located in the Shiley Hall. Shiley Hall, home of the School of Engineering, is on the academic quad.  The mechanical engineering labs have recently been renovated, and include rooms for mechanical testing, heat treating, microscopy, fluid mechanics, engine testing, controls and thermo systems. In addition, mechanical engineering students can use a variety of spaces available to all engineering students, including a general project room, a two-tiered study room, three computer rooms with links to University computers and the network, conference rooms and shops for welding and working with metal and wood.
