Electrical Engineering: Our Goal

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science's primary goal is the preparation of electrical engineers whose education meets the objectives of the School of Engineering as well as those set in the mission of the University.  The faculty has established the following program educational objectives:

• Prepare students for entry-level positions and graduate school
• Prepare graduates who have a broad background in fundamentals and the ability to solve problems
• Prepare graduates who possess technical proficiency and sound judgment
• Prepare graduates who are competent in written and oral communication, and computer proficiency
• Prepare graduates who have an understanding of professional issues such as economics, ethics, teamwork, and leadership
• Provide a stimulating environment and promote life long learning
