Review Course (FE/EIT)
at The University of Portland

The FE review course provides an in-depth review of the Fundamentals of Engineering topics for engineers who plan to take the new Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Chemistry, computers, dynamics, electrical circuits, engineering economics, fluid mechanics, materials science, mathematics, mechanics of materials, statics, dynamics and thermodynamics.

1 Continuing Education Unit
Jan. 20-Mar. 31, 2010
(Wed. Eves.) 6-9 pm

Topics include:

CIVIL
Probability/statistics/ethics, surveying, transportation facilities, soil mechanics and foundations, structural analysis, structural design, hydrologic systems, water purification and treatment, environmental engineering.

ELECTRICAL
Probability/statistics/ethics, control systems theory and analysis, electrical circuits, network analysis, instrumentation, analog and solid state electronics, digital systems, computer hardware and software, electromagnetic theory and applications, communications theory,
signal processing, electromagnetic theory and applications, and power systems.

MECHANICAL
Probability/statistics/ethics, control systems theory and analysis, measurement and instrumentation, thermodynamics, energy and power, refrigeration and HVAC, fluid mechanics, fans, pumps, compressors, heat transfer, material behavior/processing, mechanical design, and stress analysis.

$250 for the General Topics Session (Fall) and
$250 for the Discipline Specific Topics Session (Spring):

Important note regarding fees: The University refund policy for continuing education courses states that prior to and during the first week of class, 100% of tuition will be refunded. Ninety percent (90%) is refunded after the first class and there is no refund after the second class.
