Develop the decision-making and problem-solving skills essential to becoming a leader in today's fast-paced high-tech and engineering fields with a master of engineering degree from the University of Portland. This collaborative program between the School of Engineering and the Pamplin School of Business Administration was created to cater to your individual needs. This degree will enhance your engineering skills, refine your communication skills and teach you business fundamentals -- qualities that will distinguish you as highly prepared, creative, and ethical decision-maker and communicator. Select from a wide variety of engineering courses including civil & environmental (on hold for new students for Fall 2013 & 2014 semesters), electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering. Students interested in computer science and information systems should look at the programs offered by the Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland. The new master of science in operations, technology, management (OTM) will include a computer science track. Your business concentration may focus on the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing and management, or new venture development. In addition, we offer a course in business communication from the Department of Communication Studies. You can also work with the University's Center for Entrepreneurship to start your own enterprises or serve as a consultant to local industries. Specific course descriptions can be found in the University Bulletin. |
