	Anastasia Borok '11 Just one year after her University of Portland graduation, Anastasia Borok '11 has earned another engineering degree. In May 2012, Borok received her master’s degree in engineering in bioengineering innovation and design from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. (More)
	Lindie Burgess '11 Lindie Burgess earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, but she's spent the first year since graduation as a Krista Colleague, coordinating hospitality services for the homeless at Portland's St. Andre Bessette Church. (More)
	Sean Frederick '11 Since graduating as the University of Portland 2011 valedictorian, Sean Frederick has taken his passion for engineering overseas. Sean, who was one of ten Fulbright Scholars from the University of Portland’s Class of 2011, is currently attending the University of Liverpool in the heart of the United Kingdom. (More)
	William Gibbs '55 Although it's been 56 years since his graduation, William Gibbs still visits University of Portland. These days, he comes to check on two of his grandchildren, Billy, who is set to graduate in 2012 and his sister Erin, who is in the class of 2015. Both are engineering majors in the Donald P. Shiley School of Engineering. (More)
	Natalie Higgins '11 Natalie Higgins is currently putting her engineering skills to good use as one of a record-setting 10 Fulbright Scholars from the University of Portland’s Class of 2011. As a Fulbright scholar in Stuttgart, Germany, Natalie is doing research under the category of Structural Health Monitoring. Her Fulbright project involves detecting cracks in power line cables. 	Anna Pereira '08 Pereira, who has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University, is currently pursuing her doctorate from University of California, Berkeley, which she plans to complete in 2013. Her Ph.D. work involves designing computer keyboards, tablets, and other peripherals.(More)
	Ed Sweo '56 Ed and Sharon Sweo’s generous gifts to the University of Portland and Shiley School of Engineering include the Edwin and Sharon Sweo Endowed Chair in Engineering, and gifts to Swindells Hall and the School of Engineering Building fund. Ed is a long-time member of the UP Board of Regents. (More)
